Ona je zdrava, brzo spremna, jednostavna u pripremi i jeftina – znači savršen doručak. Ova topla kaša naše tijelo opskrbljuje bjelančevinama, masnoćom, ugljikohidratima, vitaminima i vlaknima koji su bitni za uravnotežen šećer u krvi, koji se ne podiže tako brzo kao nakon kriške kruha sa marmeladom.

●INGREDIENTS (ENGL.):
Main recipe – Ingredients for 1 p.:
70 g porridge oats (= 7 heaped tbsp), I’m using a mix of fine and coarse oats)
300 ml water, milk or a dairy-free alternative like rice or soy milk
pinch of salt (ca. 2-3 g)
sweeteners like honey, maple syrup or agave nectar

1st version: Bircher porridge
1 small or ½ big apple
2 tbsp raisins (ca. 30 g)
a fistful walnuts (ca. 15 g)
pinch of cinnamon and vanilla

2nd version: Chocolate-coconut porridge
1,5 tbsp cocoa (ca. 15 g)
1 banana
1,5 tbsp desiccated coconut (ca. 15 g)

3rd version: poppyseed-vanilla porridge with red fruit jelly
1,5 tbsp ground poppyseeds (ca. 15 g)
pinch of vanilla
2-3 tbsp red fruit jelly*

*Red fruit jelly (serves 2):
200 g fresh or frozen berries
2 tbsp honey
3 tbsp cold water
2 heaped tsp corn starch
